I love you. And always have. So dearly that there are not words to describe my love. Long before you even became a part of my life, I have loved you. I have never gone a day without thinking about you, for however quickly that moment may be, it is one of the most significant parts of my day. I do what I do today, for you, knowing that someday, I can create something that we, together, can share in.
I have learned that I am here for you... that's why I was sent here, that's why I am alive, is for you. You need someone to share your time with, to help you learn and grow and to grow right alongside with you. You need unconditional and selfless love, you need arms to run to in times of need and someone to spite for no other reason than because you are angry when you feel the need to do so. You need someone to share in your victories, and mourn with in your losses. It's not going to be easy, for either of us, and I guess that's why I'm excited, because there is no manual as to how to go about this, we simply learn and experience, and laugh, and live, and love, and grow together. Just as I want to be proud of you and all you accomplish, I wish more than anything, for YOU to be proud of ME, to see you smile knowing that we are winning together, no matter what's taking place in our lives. You are Me, and I am You, and the future holds so much for both of us. The world is so big, the adventures so breath taking, the serenities so calming and perfect, the trials so shaping, the noise so quiet and the stillness so loud. I'm not even sure how I know this, because we have yet to discover it together, and I promise to not discover it until I can share it with you. I have sacrificed much for you, and that is why I love you. It's not the person you are, or who you become, but the time spent together and growing with one another that adds the value and love to our relationship.
I promise to kiss your wounds, and wipe your tears, to hug you close and never let go until you want me to, to sing you to sleep and tuck you in at night, to read you stories and make wonderful and exotic pillow forts. I promise to journey to far off lands and planets with you, to play hard and work even harder with you, to help you learn and love and understand and grow and feel and cope and carry on. I promise to be your best friend in all endeavors, but more importantly, I promise to always be your Father. To always be there when you need me, and always love you when you need it the least and show it when you need it the most. What's more? I promise to love your Mother just the same, and to be her best friend for all eternity.
My child, my children, there is no greater joy or better tear shed then for you. In joy, in pain, in growth, in trial, in happiness, in bonding, in love and in sadness, I love you. Forever. And I promise to love you everyday of Forever.
If there is ever a question, ask. If there is ever a doubt, voice it. If there is ever a joy, shout it. If there is ever a fear, share it. If there is ever a friend, welcome them. If there is ever a burden, let us lift it together.

Your Mother and I are never more than a blink away. If ever you find you are missing us, close your eyes. The nightlights will always protect you in the night, and the fairies are always watching over you. When you as a baby, laughed for the first time, the laughter broke into a thousand pieces and they all went skipping about, and that was the beginning of fairies.
It is frightfully difficult to know much about fairies, and almost the only thing for certain is that there are Fairies to be found wherever there are children, for Fairies are the protectors that a Mother entrusts her children to.
But they are mischievous creatures indeed and always looking for fun, so a mother must always leave night lights, they are the eyes a mother leaves behind to watch her children at night.
If you ever need me,
Just close your eyes,
The nightlights will watch over you, and the Fairies will protect you.
Your imagination is a powerful thing,
I am never really gone, I will always be with you, even if I am not there.
All you need is faith, trust and pixie dust.
Nightlights, shine bright. Protect my sleeping babes tonight.
